I'm a single mom and that means pinching every penny.
Of course, I get that pinching every penny is important to many of us. As an example, I can think of at least one other family I know that is raising two adults and four children on their one income as opposed to me with one adult and two childs. I still don't know how they do it.
But anyway, I recently started thinking about Christmas and I came across some AWESOME deals that I wanted to share. I'm really getting into this bargin hunting stuff!
I got a Leapfrog TAG learning system (the pen that you drag over the words in the book and it reads to you?) for $20 at Target using a $10 off Target coupon and a $10 off manufacturers coupon, both found online. Regular price is $40.
I got a Bounce Back Racer (Tonka remote control car for kiddos) at Target for $14.00 by making them price match Kmart's $24.00 price and then using Target's $10 off coupon. I had to fight a little on this one, because I printed Kmart's ad off the internet and they wanted the original ad, but the fight was worth it for a good deal. Original price on this was $40.
I got both my kids a pair of CROCs for next summer by checking out their "deal of the week" and utilizing the $9.99 price. I was elated over that.
And I'm thinking of switching to DirectTV for my cable because you can lock in their new deal for a year and you get free DVR and a bunch of stations for only $25 dollars or something. It looks better than my cable, but does anyone have DirectTV that would like to comment?
For today, I'm thankful that I'm able to provide for my family the way that I do. Of course, its totally not all my doing because many times I fall short and God comes through for me, but still. I'm thankful.
What bargins have you found lately?
